James Thomas is a Georgia native with several years of training and teaching under his belt. Born and raised in Macon, Ga, James is a self taught hip hop dancer and trained actor. Starting in his youth training in Atlanta with a professional children’s theatre company. He later relocated to New York, where he studied the Meisner technique under Steve Perlmutter, an instructor at The New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. While in New York, He found himself teaching kids in theater with the Manhattan Youth, an after school program for one of NYC top magnet schools, all while continuing to perfect and hone his own craft. He most recently relocated back to his native Georgia where he found himself teaching at one of the theaters he got his first start, as well as with the city of Alpharetta’s arts and recreation program. James has been seen in several plays a commercial and short films, including an award winning short film titled The Valley. James is an advocate for the arts and using it to teach empathy and compassion to future generations
